Experiences:

Nature’s Calling

29 June 2026

Q: Nature’s Calling moved from the vineyards of the Pfalz into an urban winery in Berlin, what does bringing wine production into the city allow you to express that wasn’t possible before?

A: Bringing wine production to Berlin and to the community that drinks the wine helps breaking up the long standing mystification of wine & gatekeeping of the wine world. You don’t just drink the wine, you see the grapes arrive, smell fermentation, watch things evolve. It removes the barrier between product & process and the people who enjoy and celebrate wine.

Berlin is a city that questions everything, old traditions, conventions, how things are supposed to be done. So naturally, we do the same with wine. Unconventional wines, more experimental, less bound by tradition, and more in dialogue with culture, art, and the people.

Wine doesn’t belong on a pedestal. It belongs to it’s community.

Q: If someone could understand Nature’s Calling through only one bottle from your collection, which one would you choose and why?

A: Sven: Pet Nat Weiss, party starter, one of the first wines we ever produced & still a favorite

Louisa: our non-alcoholic, sounds counterintuitive at first, but it challenges expectations of what “wine” or a wine-like experience can be & it’s all about experimentation, quality, craft, and taste

Nicolas: Don Chay Ray (coming soon)

Q: Where in Berlin do you go when you want to disconnect from work and reconnect with yourself, whether through food, nature, music, or simply slowing down?

A: Louisa: either at a lake or at great dinner with friends sharing some wine and food on a terrace with a view, people watching

Sven: at Ankerklause, walking the Dogs at Paul-Linke-Ufer or going to a Basketball Game

Nicolas: Berghain, Tennis & Taka Fish House
